The 2011 International Conference on Knowledge Science, Engineering and Management provides a leading international forum for the sharing of views, ideas and original work among researchers, practitioners and developers to enlighten new insights into KSEM-related areas. The conference attracts numerous high quality, state-of-the-art research papers from all over the world. KSEM2011 to be held in Irvine, California, USA is the fifth in the conference series, following four successful events in Guilin, China (KSEM’06), Melbourne, Australia (KSEM’07), Vienna, Austria (KSEM’09) and Belfast, Northern Ireland (KSEM’10).
